January 2023

1st : No classic ride is planned.

3rd : NO General Meeting planned. 

15th : Club Ride ;  Wye River; Pick-up point at BP at Avalon, this ride will take us through Moriac, Deans Marsh and onto Lorne before riding a short section of the GOR to Wye River. You will have a choice of lunch at the pub or the General store.

31st : Classics informal Meeting ; Starts at about 7:00pm, so come along and order dinner and a drink, we will have some old bike videos on the big screen and talk about old bike stuff.

February 2023

5th : Classics Ride ; Diggers Rest (return approx. 100km)

Located between Melbourne and the central goldfields Diggers Rest was named as ‘a rest spot where gold diggers could stop for a drink or to sleep’. Walking from Melbourne to Diggers Rest would have taken approximately eight hours.

 

Leaving Cafe Cerino 10am should take us a little less than 8 hours!
Find whatever bitter brew your drinking, rest up and head back home. Easy ride Giddy up.

24 to 26th : MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship

The Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit returns to the world superbike calendar in 2023, with Australia to host the season opener for the 2023 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship.

28th : Classics informal Meeting ; Starts at about 7:00pm, so come along and order dinner and a drink, bring along some old bike videos for the big screen and talk about old bike stuff. 

March 2023

7st : General Meeting ; Starts at 8:00pm sharp, so make sure you have ordered dinner, got a drink and seated well beforehand. 

5th : Classics Ride ; The Sunday Classic Ride is open to all members on whatever bike you want to bring. We will be avoiding freeways as usual and taking in the sights around The Wildwood and Bulla region. Our destination for Lunch is the Keilor Hotel.

17 to 19th : Presidents Ride weekend.  DESTINATION Porepunkah, departing from Cafe Cirino at 9:00am so if you are coming with us be sure to get there earlier in order to be on the road at 9. For ride instructions click on….. “TAB“

19th : Ride to meet the Presidents ride group at the Yea Country Club Hotel? or just a separate ride.          for ride details to Yea, you can use this link “YEA” for Google map directions, approx. 2 hours from Cafe Cirino.

April 2023

2nd : Classics Ride ; This will be a short ride to the Little River Hotel for lunch. Departing from Cafe Cerino around 10:30am we will once again avoid freeways, total distance will be approx 100km return. It is assumed that if your are coming on this ride you will be having lunch, if you are NOT, please let Sandy know classics@wmcc.org.au . this ride will suit both all riders, and as usual, all members are welcome to come along.

4th : General Meeting ; Starts at 8:00pm sharp, so make sure you have ordered dinner, got a drink and seated well beforehand. 

16th : Club Ride ; Newstead; We were going to Dig Cafe in Newstead but….. given the weather for Sunday (& Saturday) is looking pretty bad (10 to 30mm of rain) – the booking for the cafe has been cancelled. We will make a decision on the destination by those who attend.

21st to 23th : Non Club Event (although quite a few members do attend); ALL BRITISH RALLY (BSA Motorcycle Owners Association Inc.) http://bsa.asn.au/html/events/abr/index.html  held at the Old Newstead Racecourse Reserve in central Victoria.

26th (WEDNESDAY): Classics informal Meeting ; Starts at about 7:00pm, so come along and order dinner and a drink, bring along some old bike videos for the big screen and talk about old bike stuff.

May 2023

7th : Classics Ride ; Weather permitting, we are heading to Belgrave via Olinda to take in some of the best roads that are close to Melbourne. The round trip will be under 150km. Belgrave is situated in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges, part of the land of the Wurundjeri first nations people.

21st : Club Ride ; Newstead; stay tuned for details.

18th : Club Ride ; Ride to Remember; Via Trentham stopping at Woodend at the Holgate Brewhouse for lunch. In memory of those who are no longer with us, we take the opportunity to reflect on the good times, memories and contributions they made to this great club.
